Futur: „be going to“
A1 Future: be going to 18 / 50
Kurz gefasst
Mit be going to + Grundform des Verbs sprichst du über Pläne, die du schon vorher gefasst hast, und über Vorhersagen, die sich bereits abzeichnen. Die Form lautet am/is/are + going to + base form.
Die Regel
be going to wird auf zwei Arten verwendet:
-
- I’m going to study medicine. (Das habe ich schon vorher entschieden.)
- We’re going to paint the kitchen this weekend.
-
- Look at those clouds - it’s going to rain.
- She’s going to have a baby.
| Typ | Struktur | Beispiel |
|---|---|---|
| Bejaht | Subjekt + be + going to + Grundform | She is going to call you. |
| Verneint | Subjekt + be + not + going to + Grundform | She isn’t going to come. |
| Frage | be + Subjekt + going to + Grundform? | Are you going to help? |
Formen und Muster
| Subjekt | be | + going to + Grundform |
|---|---|---|
| I | am (‘m) | going to leave |
| You / We / They | are (‘re) | going to leave |
| He / She / It | is (‘s) | going to leave |
Bei there richtet sich be nach dem Nomen, das danach folgt: There is going to be a delay. There are going to be delays.
Kurzformen:
| Lang | Kurz |
|---|---|
| I am going to | I’m going to |
| He is not going to | He isn’t going to / He’s not going to |
| They are not going to | They aren’t going to / They’re not going to |
Kurzantworten benutzen nur be:
| Frage | Ja | Nein |
|---|---|---|
| Are you going to help? | Yes, I am. | No, I’m not. |
| Is he going to drive? | Yes, he is. | No, he isn’t. |
We are going to get wet if it rains. We are going to start when everyone is here. Behalte be going to nach if bei, wenn der Nebensatz einen bereits gefassten Plan wiedergibt: If you are going to sell the piano, tell me first. In einer when-Frage, direkt oder indirekt, ist be going to normal: When are you going to decide? (Mehr dazu in Nullkonditional und Typ I.)
Beispiele

Häufige Fehler
- I going to call him. -> I’m going to call him. – am/is/are muss stehen bleiben.
- She is going to calls you. -> She is going to call you. – benutze die Grundform, nie -s.
- He is going to wrote a letter. -> He is going to write a letter. – Grundform, nicht Vergangenheit.
- Are you going help? -> Are you going to help? – lass to nicht weg.
- It goes to rain. -> It is going to rain. – es heißt be going to, nicht go to.
Tipps
- In schneller Aussprache klingt going to oft wie „gonna“ – das ist zum Hören in Ordnung, aber schreibe die vollständige Form going to.
- Wenn ein Plan schon feststeht oder du die Anzeichen schon jetzt siehst, wählst du be going to.
- going to go und going to come sind korrekt, aber oft werden sie verkürzt: I’m going to the cinema statt I’m going to go to the cinema.
