冠詞:a/an・the・無冠詞
A1 Articles: a/an/the/zero 2 / 50
a/an:不定冠詞です。
I saw a dog.
She is a doctor. It’s a good idea.
- 時間や値段について「〜につき」というとき:twice a week, 60 km an hour.
|---|---|---|
| a | 子音の音 | a cat、a university(yoo-)、a European(yoo-)、a one-euro coin(wun-) |
| an | 母音の音 | an egg、an hour(hは発音しない)、an honest man、an MP(em-)、an X-ray(eks-) |
I saw a dog. The dog was big.
- 世界に一つしかないもの:the sun, the moon, the sky, the world.
Close the door. Pass the salt.
- 最上級と序数:the best, the biggest, the first, the third.
Dogs are loyal. Books are useful.
Water is wet. Time is money.
I visited Spain. She speaks Italian. We had lunch.
- 決まった言い方:go to bed/work/school、by car/bus、at home、in bed。
some は「複数形のa/an」のように働きます:1つ以上で、特定ではないものです:I bought some apples.

- She is doctor. -> She is a doctor.:単数の職業には a/an が必要です。
- I have an university degree. -> I have a university degree.:「university」はyooの音で始まるので、a を使います。
- I waited for you a hour ago. -> I waited for you an hour ago.:h は発音せず母音の音になるので、an を使います。
- The dogs are loyal animals. -> Dogs are loyal animals.:
- Let’s go to the bed. -> Let’s go to bed.:決まった言い方なので、冠詞はつけません。
Hour は「our」(母音)のように聞こえる -> an;university は「you-」(子音)のように聞こえる -> a。
特定の量を指すときだけ the を加えます:the money on the table.
